Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. The singer combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B to create a unique mix. She has performed on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine's given title is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang as well as was a pianist. Her musical career began in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
