Aaliyah Dana Haughton burst into fame in 1994, after she dropped her debut album Age Ain't Nothing But a number. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland for her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling song If Your Girl only Knew. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. In 2000, she appeared in the romantic action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer at an awards show at the time she landed the role and spotted her. In 2002 she got to be part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was inspired by the Anne Rice novel. In 2003, she appeared on screen in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The actress was nominated for four times for Grammys, in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is the first generation Indian-American to be from Connecticut. Mann, her stage name is an acronym for Mankad her surname when she married. The actress utilizes Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar for her stage name. While she started out by playing minor film and television parts, her acting career started to gain growth in the latter half of 2000s. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials including Volvo and other major automobile brands. She lives in Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting profession.
