Aaliyah Dana Haughton exploded into fame in 1994 after she debuted her first album Age Ain't Nothing But a number. At the time, she was just 15 years old. the time and the album went on to become Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought her into the spotlight. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the number one hit single If Your girl only had known. Following the success of this album, Aaliyah received international recognition for her work as an R&B artist. She was also as a character in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li.
