Aaliyah Haughton was famous after 1994 when she debuted her debut album Age isn't just a number. The singer was only 15 at the time and the album was later renamed Gold. The group was strongly inspired by R. Kelly, and helped put her in the spotlight. In 1996 she worked with Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland to record her follow-up album One In A Million which featured the hit number one single If Your Girl Could Only Know. After the debut of the album Aaliyah won international acclaim as an R&B artist. In 2000, she appeared in the action and romance movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. While her initial professional career was mostly dominated by small television and film roles, she gained more notoriety in the late 2000s. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. In addition, she has appeared in important commercials of brands such as Volvo which is an international automobile maker. Her home is in Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and is continuing to develop her acting profession.
